Ordering Information

Minimum Order - all orders less the $10.00 will have an extra $5.00 charge (plus shipping and handling charges) added to the order.

Orders received after 3:00pm Eastern Standard Time -  will be processed the next business day. Orders received after 3:00pm EST that need to be shipped the same day will be charged a $5.00 rush fee. This fee is not included within our shopping cart program and will be added to your charges.

Return/Exchange Policy - The standard within the costume industry has always been no refunds or exchanges; greater than 90% of our customers only use these items once. We understand that no one wants things they will never use again, but we do not want them back after someone else uses them either. We are proud to announce that we only sell new items. After saying that, we hope you are happy with your selection, but we understand that situations with shopping over the Internet arise. So we have developed the following guidelines for our preferred Internet customers to help better serve you better because we appreciate your business.

Costume Shop – Retail Section.

Returns – The following items CANNOT be returned: Beards, Makeup (all items), Moustaches, Socks, Teeth, Tights & Wigs. We regret any inconvenience, but these are non-returnable because of sanitary and hygiene restrictions.

All Orders – All items considered for return or exchange MUST have a eligible return authorization number on the outside of all shipping return boxes. To obtain a return authorization number you must e-mail or call us and ask for the return authorization number. This does not mean you automatically qualify for a credit. It means if you follow the guidelines, we will evaluate your return/exchange for credit or exchange. All return shipments must be postmarked 5 days after receipt and/or delivery of your shipment. All items must include all the original packaging including any instructions in good condition. All unauthorized returns will be refused. We also have the right to inspect all returned items prior to determining if they will qualify for a credit.

All regular orders carry a Restocking Fee of 13% with no credit given for shipping.

Last Minute Halloween Orders, Please Note: Any returns authorized prior to October 31st, must be postmarked by October 31st to be eligible to qualify for credit.

Exchanges – We take great pride in double-checking every item before it leaves our facility. If you do receive an item that is damaged, please follow the guidelines above under All Orders. We can ship you a replacement item as soon as we receive the damaged item; or you may pay for another item and we will credit you when we receive the returned item with proper authorization. Please follow instructions above.

Special Orders – There are two types of Special Orders. These CANNOT be cancelled, returned or exchanged. We require a ˝ down deposit before we will accept special orders. 

1. Items noted on our web pages stating shipping will take longer than 2 weeks. Also, these costumes are all over $100.00 each. 

2.Orders with excessive quantities and/or odd sizes.

Sizing Information

A lot of our costumes come with elastic waistbands and/or are made of fabric that will stretch. We also offer Plus Size costumes for the full figured and the big & tall.

Women's Sizing

Our women's costumes are determined by dress size in the Costume Shop section starting with 8-12 (standard or std.), size 4-6 (small), 8-10 (medium), 12-14 (large) and 18 (plus). We recommend that you buy larger than you normally do. If you are tall or full-figured you must keep that in mind. Please ask if you have any questions. We offer more sizing information on particular items.

Men's Sizing

Our men's costumes are determined by waist size, starting from 38-42 (standard or std.), 32 (small), 36 (medium), 38 (large), 40 (extra large) to 50 (plus). Remember this is the measurement around the largest part of your midsection. We recommend that you buy larger than you normally do. If you are tall or full-figured you must keep that in mind. Please ask if you have any questions. We offer more sizing information on particular items.

Children's Sizing

Our children's costumes are determined by standard clothing sizes, starting with 4-6 (small), 8-10 (medium) & 12-14 (large). We recommend that you buy larger than you normally do. If you are tall or husky you must keep that in mind. Please ask if you have any questions. As fast as children grow, be safe by choosing the larger of two sizes. Also remember that if it’s cold you may need extra clothing on underneath the costume to keep warm. Anything bigger than a teen this child needs something adult sized. We offer more sizing information on particular items.

Infant and Toddler Sizing

Our infant and toddler costumes are determined by standard clothing sizes as noted in each items field. We recommend that you buy larger than you normally do. If you are tall or husky you must keep that in mind. Please ask if you have any questions. We offer more sizing information on particular items.

Pet Sizing

Our pet costumes are determined by your pet’s length. Measure from back of neck to hind.

Notes: Sizes do vary from manufacture to manufacture, but we will continue to update this and provide you with the most accurate information on the web.

UPS Ground – OUR PREFERRED SERVICE! This service works nice because we can track these shipments. We also have UPS notify you by e-mail when your shipment is shipped and you can watch it come to you. Cool Stuff. Remember we need your e-mail address if you call in the order.

Prompt, dependable, low-cost ground delivery makes UPS Ground an excellent choice for all your routine shipments. UPS Ground reaches every address throughout the 48 contiguous states.
For all commercial addresses, UPS guarantees the day of delivery for every ground package you ship within the 48 contiguous states.

Deliveries to residential addresses receive scheduled delivery (but not guaranteed like commercial addresses) and the same dependable service that you've come to expect from UPS.

UPS 2nd Day Air provides guaranteed on-time delivery to every address throughout the United States (excluding intra-Alaska shipments) and Puerto Rico. This service is an economical alternative for time-sensitive shipments that do not require overnight or morning service.

UPS Next Day Air Saver offers an affordable delivery option for those important shipments that require next-business-day delivery, but don't have to be there in the morning. We guarantee delivery by 3:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to commercial destinations where UPS Next Day Air delivery is committed by 10:30 a.m. or noon, respectively. Shipments to residential locations within the Next Day Air Saver area are delivered by end of day. This service is not available to destinations where UPS Next Day Air is committed for end of day or is not available.

Priority US Mail – The Postal Service is the only shipper that delivers to every address and Post Office Box in the country, as well as every military address - with no surcharge for Saturday and residential deliveries.

Money Orders - Drawn in US Funds and made out to Costume Holiday House, Inc. to the above address. These orders will not be shipped until we receive the money order.

Rental Items - SHIPPING CHARGES The shipping cost for rental items is determined by the size and weight of the box(es) need to ship these items safely. We prefer to use UPS Call Tags for the return shipping service of our rental item(s), this is included in your estimate.

 You may e-mail us with the rental number, rental name and your ship to zip code and we will be glad to give you an estimate for shipping charges.
